Girl's Chat: Relationships

Hola!!

www.dutchessroz.com

Oh boy!, I forgot how depressing dating could be.   I was never really a dater.... I definitely had more long-term than short-term relationships.  I fell in love, I fell out of love, I have had my heart broken, and I have broken a few hearts too.....  but regardless, every time a relationship ends and fails, It's just discouraging.  On top of that, the older you get, the more selective you become.  To me it is not about finding Mr. Right (cuz there is no such thing).... but it is about finding a quality man (a man with values).... and most importantly, it is about finding a quality guy who I am crazy in love with..... plain and simple.  In the meantime however, it is all about me =)

My sister shared this on her facebook page the other day... "the only relationship that matters is the relationship you have with yourself"....so true!!  This post is about empowering ourselves....   so, what I wanted to share with you is the book "Why Men loves Bitches" that has helped me (and many of my friends...MANY) so much.  I hope you are open mind about it, because I wasn't at first, but then I'm glad I changed my mind ;)

I know that the title makes it sound like a plain dating book..... and it is, but it is also so much more than that.  It's about relationships and how women "us" often end up caring too much, often forgetting about ourselves.  Definitely a must read in my opinion.  You can read chapter One if you click "click to look inside".

Here is nice quote from the book...

Principle #80

"The ability to choose how you want to live, and the ability  to choose how you want to be treated are the two things that give you more power than any material object ever will"

Nails: Lily Nail Polish by Revlon

Hello!!!

I have been getting a lot of compliments over this nail polish... so I I just wanted to share this color with you really quick.  The color is Lily (#610) by Revlon.  It's the Top Speed formula which I like because It dries out really fast I don't have to sit around and wait forever!!   I'm planning on getting some nail polish with glitter... at first I didn't think I would like that but I changed my mind and now I want to give it a try.  I'll show it to you when I get it.  :)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

Hola!!!

Addicted to Makeup!!!

I have been into makeup lately.... it really has been a creative outlet for me!!!  It's so much fun too.... I just love it!

So I want to share with you one of my latest purchases.  I went to Sephora to look for fun color eyeshadows and run into this amazing palette made by Kat Von D (Romance in Angeles).  Omg!  it has just the colors I have been looking for.... turquoise, aqua, .... I'm so excited and I can't wait to keep playing with it.   The colors are so pigmented too which is great, even though it may create some fallout.  Also, some of the colors could be too shimmery/glittery for some people, but I happen to like them very much...   I mean, you can control the intensity....  you just need the right tools, and lots of practice!!  That's it!!

Colors L-R: Venus, Leather, Specimen, Rehab, Peggy, Bukowski, Bellbottom, and Morphine
(The last color (Morphine) is a cream shadow, I heard from other ppl that it dries out pretty quickly, so I put a tiny piece of plastic wrap over the one shadow to keep the moisture in it.  So far so good!)

Swatches

Rehad all over, Bukowski on lid and lower lashes, Specimen on the crease, and Leather on the outer corner.

What do you think?   Do you like it?
Que les parece?  Les gusta?

XOXO
